FAA Part 77
Filing

Form 7460-1 notices prepared, filed, and followed through to an FAA determination.

When 14 CFR Part 77 requires notice of proposed construction or alteration, CurvAero prepares FAA Form 7460-1, files it through the FAA's Obstruction Evaluation / Airport Airspace Analysis (OE/AAA) system, and follows the case until the FAA issues its determination.

Who has to file

Notice is owed before the first foundation is poured

Under 14 CFR 77.9, notice is required for construction more than 200 feet above ground, for anything that would penetrate a sloped notice surface around a public use or military airport or heliport, and for construction on such an airport. Temporary structures, such as construction cranes, are included.

Not sure you need to file?

The CurvAero Part 77 Report checks a coordinate and a structure height against every 77.9 notice criterion, and tells you whether notice is required — with the rule and the measurement behind the answer. If it is, the report becomes the starting point for the filing.

What we deliver

From screening to supplemental notice

  1. 01

    Screen

The site is checked against the 14 CFR 77.9 notice criteria first, so you file when notice is required and only then.

  2. 02

    Prepare

Coordinates, ground elevation and overall height antennas, lightning rods and other appurtenances included assembled for the 7460-1.

  3. 03

    File

The notice submitted through the FAA's OE/AAA system at least 45 days before construction starts or a permit application is filed, whichever is earlier.

  4. 04

    Track

The case followed through the FAA's aeronautical study, with any request for more information answered as it comes.

  5. 05

    Resolve

If the FAA issues a Notice of Presumed Hazard, we work out the height or location that would clear it, so the proposal can be amended rather than abandoned.

  6. 06

    Close out

Supplemental notice on Form 7460-2 when the determination requires it: before construction starts, and within 5 days of reaching full height.

The determination is the FAA's

CurvAero prepares, files and follows your notice. Whether the structure is a hazard to air navigation — and any marking or lighting it must carry — is decided by the FAA after its own aeronautical study, and every filing is made through the FAA's OE/AAA system.

File with time to spare

Send us the site, the structure and the schedule. We will tell you whether notice is required and, if it is, handle the filing.
